Wefunder is a U.S.-based online platform founded in 2011 (YC Winter 2013 alum), allowing anyone to invest as little as $100 in early-stage startups, not just accredited investors. It leverages the JOBS Act to open equity fundraising to the public, enabling individuals to buy real shares or convertible instruments in promising private companies.
